To promote the heritage of India a bamboo crafting demonstration programme was organised in Army Public School Golconda. The students of APSG had been given a unique experience of rendezvousing an artisan skilled in making mats and baskets through the indigenous material. The teachers and the students were thrilled to learn the skill of weaving mats, baskets etc and their excitement soared to sky as they had experienced the hands on doing. Apart from bamboo weaving many astounding handicraft activities like block printing, ribbon weaving, leaf quilting were organized to empower the learners with useful skills. Be it an intricate leaf mat or the surprising bamboo mat or the wool loom, APSGians tried to make these handicrafts with dexterity.
