Report on the INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Investiture means a formal investing of a person with authority, power, right and dignity. The ceremony was to badge the leaders of academic year (2023-24) who would be leading this year’s all the curricular and co-curricular activities and work with the team effort and bring out new and challenging events with all the success.
It’s rightly said that ‘leaders are not born, they are made’. Year after year, it reminds us of the trust and confidence that we repose in our newly elected and selected students’ council members. To continue the legacy and to kindle the leadership qualities in our young prodigies the Investiture Ceremony was held on 08 August 2023 at Army Public School Golconda for the academic year 2023-24.
Our respected principal Mrs. Vidya Muralidharan was the chief guest of the ceremony. The ceremony began with Goddess Saraswati Vandana in form of a mesmerising performance of school choir group ‘Heart Hackers’. The students of class VI & VII gave an inspiring, motivational and soul stirring lyrical dance performance on a poem ‘Main naye bharat ka chehara hoon’.
The ceremony advanced with the prime custom of bestowing badges and sashes by the Principal Mrs. Vidya Muralidharan, Co-Ordinator, House masters and senior teachers, to the newly formed Council – Head Boy and Head Girl along with Sports, Discipline, CCA, House Captains, Prefect. Donning the mantle of responsibility, they all pledge to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by rules and regulations of the Institute. The Principal Ma’am administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed Board of Students’ Council, who swore to serve their Alma Mater with utmost sincerity and to the best of their abilities.
The newly elected Students’ Council marched forward to their respective houses, as it is said perfection is not attainable but when you chase perfection, you catch excellence. The zeal of the council was reflected in their confidence and dedication to execute their work.
The Principal Ma’am motivated the students and blessed them with her golden views which would help the students to make their vision clear for the achievement of their goal by performing their duties with full dedication. She then congratulated the newly elected Students’ Council and emphasised the significance of setting priorities and the need of the hour to be a team player. She reminded them that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take responsibility with commitment and integrity.
The ceremony continued with felicitation of academic toppers of the session 2022-23, the students who brought laurels to the school and 100% attendance achievers.
