No BAG Day
NO BAG DAY - JUNE 27, 2024
On June 27, 2024, APSG celebrated No Bag Day, focusing on health consciousness and mindful food choices among students. The day was filled with a variety of engaging and educational activities centered on nutrition and healthy eating. Students took part in a blindfolded game where they identified fruits and vegetables by touch, smell, and taste, and an energetic "Fire in the Forest Run - Run - Run" game that promoted picking the healthiest food choice. They constructed a food pyramid to learn about balanced nutrition and created posters highlighting the benefits of healthy eating.
Other activities included poem recitations and talk shows where students dressed as their favorite fruits or vegetables, sharing healthy recipes, and sorting fruits and vegetables by color to understand their nutritional benefits. A lively fruit and veggie parade, designing balanced meals, a dance journey celebrating different types of food, and lessons on deciphering food labels were also part of the day's events. Additionally, math was integrated into the activities as students counted pulses and learned their benefits, created shapes with dry fruits, and explored concepts like Roman numerals, factors, and multiples.
It was a vibrant testament to the importance of health education and mindful food choices. Through a myriad of interactive activities, from sensory games and educational workshops to creative expressions and physical challenges, students embraced the joys of nutritious eating. This day not only fostered a deeper understanding of balanced nutrition but also ignited a passion for healthy living that will resonate throughout their lives.
