YOga Day

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

“"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”

The International Yoga Day was celebrated at Army Public School, Golconda on 21st June 2024 with tremendous success and enthusiastic participation from over 1500 students and teachers. The event began in an electrifying atmosphere with a serene sunrise, followed by yoga sessions led by renowned Yoga instructors Bharath Adepu, Abhishek (trained in Hatha Yoga), and a dedicated team of instructors from the 13th Punjab Regiment.

The instructors demonstrated Surya Namaskar, various Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, and meditation techniques, explaining their benefits in daily life. These sessions emphasized that yoga provides a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being, helping to restore balance in our busy lives. In a special morning assembly dedicated to the theme, the young orators of the school highlighted that yoga is not just an exercise but a way of life that promotes inner peace, well-being, physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual growth. Promoting the official theme, 'Yoga for Self and Society,' students were encouraged to enhance their resilience and promote well-being within the community.

The school conducted a plethora of activities to inspire everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routines and experience its profound benefits. It was a great opportunity to underscore the deep-rooted connection of yoga with our rich cultural heritage, serving as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern living.

The Yoga Day celebration at Army Public School Golconda was a remarkable event that successfully promoted wellness and fostered a sense of mindfulness among the students. It stood as a powerful reminder of yoga's transformative impact and the value of making it a part of our daily routines.
